Sound Construction

The soundtrack for my film opening was created using the GarageBand software on an Apple Mac computer.

 

• I used the different loops to create a soundtrack like that of other film openings of the same genre that I researched. 
• I have used both non-diegetic and diegetic sounds. The diegetic sounds of forest life and cars create a sense of reality for the audience and create and ambiance. The non-diegetic sound creates an mysterious and tense atmosphere within the sequence and adds to the genre of the opening. 
• Using the Split and Join tools I can create longer or shorter sequences.
• I can also use the Master Volume tool to change the volume of the sound clips
